The Mirasol Project, centred at the Mallkini ranch in the Puno region of the Peruvian Andes, is based on the principles of Fairtrade, and is providing an intergrated health and education programme for the families of the alpaca shepherds.

The yarns are gorgeous and range from organic cotton through baby llama, hand dyed merino and yarns blended with silk. There is good pattern support with books from Jane Ellison.
