About Norfolk Yarn

Welcome to our new Norfolk Yarn website!

We are a small family run yarn shop on the outskirts of Norwich, manned by me, Rebecca, and my mum Christine, and on occasion my husband Paul. We are especially fond of good quality yarns and strong colours, believing that the time and effort put in needs to be rewarded with a beautiful finished garment.

Norfolk Yarn started life in the summer of 2005, when fed up of working for other people, I listened to my friends and decided to go for what I had always wanted to do, open my own shop! With the help and support of my family, we set to work in researching suppliers, properties to let and so on, until we were ready to open in December 2005. We have been working hard since then to help the knitters of Norwich (and further afield) to get their hands on some of the most exciting yarns available on the market.

We are continuing to grow, adding new lines every season, and hopefully providing inspiration to knitters new and old. One of our aims is to bring a range of crafts to a wider audience and to this end we regularly hold workshops for knitting and crocheting, as well as the very popular spinning.

We look to our customers to keep letting us know what they like (or don't like) and how we can improve, so please let us know if you have any problems. Its always nice to get feedback on yarns and finished projects, so let us see what you can do and we may share it with others.
