We are hosting some really fun and entertaining classes, these include the following:

• Spinning: Day courses run from 10 - 4 pm, and cost £30 per person and designed to suit the beginner; covering wool preparation, carding, spinning and plying.

• Next spinning course date is Saturday 20th September, if you'ld like to take part then please phone the store.

• We are starting a series of workshops for new knitters and those wanting to improve their skills. Covering:
• 1)Moving on from knit and purl,following patterns, basic stitches; June 21st.
• 2)Next steps; cables, lace patterns etc; July 5th.
• 3)Knitting a bag; a Louisa Harding bag pattern; July 26th.                    10 - 2pm £15.
• 4)Sewing up and finishing off; August 9th.
• 5)Making things that fit, choosing the right pattern and making adjustments, August 16th.
• Crochet for beginners June  7th and August 30th.

Workshops will be on Saturdays between 10 and 12 (dates as above) and will be charged at £5 each except for lesson 3. All places to be booked in advance. Anyone interested please phone the store.

We are going to be out and about this autumn with stalls at Greenstock in Heigham Park in Norwich on Sunday 24th August, the Costume and Textile show at Wolterton Hall on the 13th and 14th September, and the Norwich Textile Fair at the John Innes Centre on Sunday 2nd November. So if you can make it to one of the events we will be placed to see you.

I am also planning a day out at the Knitting and Stitching Show at the Ally Pally in London on Friday October 10th. Chenery Travel are offering a coach and entry price of £31 so anyone interested in coming along with a group booking please let me know.
